I love the annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival. It's typically held in Penn Quarter but moved to Capitol Riverfront (my neighborhood!) this year. How could I not come through when this was two blocks from our apartment? (^_^)

The smell of Japanese street food mingles with churros and fried chicken in the air. Cosplayers come out in full regalia. There are traditional drumming demonstrations and modern Japanese pop music. It's a feast for all senses and a photographic playland.

Tamagawa University Students on a tour of the US performed traditional Japanese drumming and dancing.
