Located on the ground floor of the Hotel Harrington ("Washington's Tourist Hotel"!) you'll find Ollie's Trolley, a family-owned restaurant which has been a Washington, DC landmark institution for over 30 years. It's vaguely got a carnival theme going on — bright yellows, neon, real flashy. My husband thinks this place is so creepy he won't set foot in it. I, on the other hand, think it's fantastically kitschy and an absolute delight in a town that quite often takes itself far too seriously. I'd never been inside until today, though. The burger was good! And the decor was, indeed, a tad creepy. I'll definitely be back.
