This afternoon's protest was huge. I have no idea how to estimate crowd size other than to tell you I stood alongside Pennsylvania Ave. for about 20 minutes and folks kept coming past, with no end in sight.

We started in front of the White House, then marched down Pennsylvania Ave. to the east side of the Capitol. Of couse, the offices were closed today, but I still think it holds some symbolic value.

This man was asleep/passed out near the edge of the gathering point at 15 and Pennsylvania. I don't usually take photos of our homeless neighbors because it feels exploitative, but in this case, I wanted to point out that for some of our fellow citizens, none of this is likely to have an impact on their lives. I suspect this man's life would be the same whether it's Hillary or Trump in the White House. One day I hope we do better by all US citizens.
